Harwich 1912 Centre
Our visitor hostel is situated in the historic town of Harwich overlooking the harbour.

We offer self catering, bunk house style accommodation for visiting groups of up to 26 people.
The main Hall at the Centre is also available for day hire.

There is free parking and good public transport links.
We have been welcoming guests to the 1912 Centre since 2004. The old town fire station has been repurposed into a visitor hostel offering comfortable bunk house accommodation for visiting groups who enjoy sole use of the Centre. Located in a Conservation Area close to the beach, sea front and promenade. Town amenities and visitor attractions are close by. The centrally heated accommodation comprises:

Ground Floor: Entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen, central hall/dining/recreational area, plus two sleeping cabins, showers and toilets with disabled access and a drying room.

Upper Floor: Four additional sleeping cabins and residents lounge with views across the harbour. All cabins have bunk beds. Please bring your own sleeping bags.
Group Accommodation By The Sea
The main hall is available for day hire. The venue is ideal for meetings, exhibitions, clubs, family gatherings and quiet social events. The ground floor accommodation - 85 sq.m hall with adjacent kitchen and wc's - is disabled accessible. The Centre is situated in a residential area and is unsuited to noisy activities.
